Every company must have a company secretary and a Hong Kong registered address. An individual secretary must ordinarily reside in Hong Kong, and in a private company with one director, that director cannot also be secretary (Companies Ordinance, sections 474 and 475). If you already have both, you need not pay for them.<\/p>\n\t\t

A company secretary can be an individual or a body corporate. Individuals must ordinarily reside in Hong Kong; a body corporate needs a Hong Kong office or place of business. The registered address must be in Hong Kong and can be an office, business centre or home, but it is public on the Companies Registry record. After year one, secretary fees start from HK$99 a month.
